Andrea Gallagher is a nationally recognized leader, speaker, and advocate in aging, caregiving, and purposeful living. As President & CEO of Senior Concerns for more than 13 years, she has led the organization to regional distinction, including being named Nonprofit of the Year by the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and Business of the Year by the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging.
Her work is deeply personal. Andrea’s journey began not in a boardroom, but at home—when she and her husband became caregivers to their elderly neighbors for six years. That experience revealed both the challenges and quiet meaning of caregiving—and ultimately, her life’s calling: to ensure older adults and their families are supported, valued, and never alone.
A Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®, Andrea is known for translating the complexities of aging into practical, human-centered insight. She is a sought-after national speaker and longtime columnist of The Other Side of Fifty in the Acorn newspapers, and co-editor of LIVE SMART AFTER 50!
Her leadership extends across the community, including service on the Clinical Bioethics Advisory Committee at Los Robles Regional Medical Center and the Board of Trustees for the Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation.
